The most frequent question I have been asked over the last 30 years is, "Do I need a lawyer?" The answer is really quite simple: Do you understand the matter you are involved in? Not the words, but the concepts. With the Internet and public information available today, we can generally understand the general nature of our affairs, but the constant changes and interpretations of our laws is where most clients need professional help. It is not the general concepts but the sophisticated interpretation that most clients seek. That is when you need to consult and retain a lawyer.

My firm is dedicated to working with the client to understand and resolve their legal issues.

In summary, I have practiced law as a sole practitioner for over 30 years. I have taught at various professional seminars and have also presented programs to various clubs and other professional associations. Over the years I have developed a practice that includes clients from three generations and most of my clientele has been referred by other clients. I would identify myself as a "general practitioner" that encompasses most of the areas of the law. If I do not practice in the area the client seeks, then I usually have colleagues who I am familiar with who do specialize in those areas and can provide the quality and character of service that I would provide to the client.
